Strategic place to cross to the New England territories, the Beauce region is characterised by its diversity and dynamism. Crossed by the Chaudière river and filled with stunning valleys and forests, this territory reveals the personality of those who have built and inhabited it since the first half of the 18th century.
Beyond the beauty of its scenery, Beauce has been shaped by its inhabitants, their story, their entrepreneurship, their solidarity and their legendary hearty welcome. The municipalities have accounted for the abundance of activities and events in their region and therefore deserve to have visitors come to see them for a few days.
The region has everything required to have you enjoy a sensory experience out of the common. This includes: Art, Culture and Heritage, Sports and Outdoors and Health Centres, Regional Flavours and Events as well as outstanding landscapes that will travel with you no matter where you are on the territory. Moreover, you will always be heartily welcomed in the different accomodations and restaurants of the region.
The Chaudière River and its overflowings, the days at the sugar shack, the merry storytellers and the numerous fires that destroyed villages are part of the past of this region. La Beauce: proud, welcoming, visionary and daring people exactly as the first pioneers who, arriving in Quebec city dirty and muddy to sell their goods, were friendly called, the 'Jarrets noirs'.
We invite you to learn more about our piece of land and its various aspects. For the beauty of the scenery, the outdoor activities, the culture or for the regional flavors, the Beauce region will be beyond expectation!
