Catholic church (1859), historic monument by provincial government (2001) and national historic site by Parks Canada (2006). Group visits on reservation.
Built in 1859 by architect Charles Baillairgé, the Le Saint-Nom-de-Marie church is a Gothic revival-style masterpiece. Gold-leaf gilding, faux finish and trompe-l’oeil, this religious heritage gem is classified historic monument.
Also not to be missed, the famous “Madone des Croisades” from the XIIIth century. This temple was classified historic monument in 2001.
