Travel 200 years back in time at Maison Pierre-Lacroix, the oldest stone house in Beauce. This 1821 house will bring you back to the time of Pierre Lacroix, blacksmith of the Seigneur Taschereau. In this exceptionally well preserved house, you will discover a unique place where you will learn about several aspects of life in Beauce since the 19th century, from the Chaudier River meltdown to traditional trades, as well as family life and architecture. This guided tour is not to be missed when travelling in the area.
A gift shop is located in the former general store, where visitors can buy local craft and visual art creations. A wide choice of paintings, knitting, drawings, stained glass, pictures, quilts, jewelry, sculptures, agri-food products and more!
The first attic is home to a unique artifact exhibition presented by Cable-Axion, Quebec’s first cable distributor.
