Club d’Aéromodélisme Les Phoenix
The Phoenix Aeromodelling Club gathers certified remote-control aircraft pilots. They meet regularly in summer in Rang 2 in Saint-Jean-de-la-Lande, where they own an airport with a 560-foot main runway, a 350-foot secondary runway and a large piece of land around the facilities that can be used for emergency landing in case of a failure.
The facilities also include a runway for remote-control cars and trucks.
Every year during Labour Day weekend, they organize Quebec’s largest remote-control aircraft show. The Club then welcomes over 100 pilots from all over the province. Pilots and visitors gather at the Phoenix Club for a weekend of family activities. Many enjoy free camping (no utilities) on the premises.
Anyone interested in becoming a member can visit the Club’s facilities whenever the gate is open and members are present.
Everybody’s welcome!
