Véloroute de la Chaudière (Secteur Nouvelle-Beauce et Sentier des Jarrets Noirs)
This route begins at the Chutes-de-la-Chaudière Park and goes along the Chaudière River, famous for its spring floodings. A cycle path crosses Scott and Sainte-Marie to reach Vallée-Jonction, once an important railway hub. In Sainte-Marie, discover our new nature park, at the heart of the flood-risk area; trail system on the ground and on wooden sidewalks, aerial footbridge, eco-shelter and interpretation signs that will help you learn more about the history and role of this important ecosystem.
A 46 km paved cycling path, unveiling the beauty of the Chaudiere River Valley. Starting in Saint-Lambert-de-Lauzon, passing through Saint-Isidore and up to Scott, you travel 26 km. Part of the Véloroute will remain designated roadway in Saint-Lambert (shared road by cars and bicycles) and between Saint-Isidore and Scott, roads have paved shoulders. Then enjoy a fully paved cycling pathway through Scott, Sainte-Marie and Vallée-Jonction for 20 km. Véloroute de la Chaudière is one of the best ways to discover all the flours and colours of Beauce.
